Kristy is a qualified planner and a passionate, very experienced facilitator, presenter, teacher and writer. She has a particular interest in communications, facilitation and event management, along with the use of spatial analysis or mapping tools for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation.
She enjoys geoprocessing and the use and integration of spatial data. She has advanced mapping and spatial analysis skills using geographical information systems (GIS), especially ArcGIS, and has managed the development of key spatial products that guide investment in natural resource management for Landcare and Local Land Services.

Kristy has extensive experience in planning for a range of natural resource management programs. She has worked with the Australian Government environment department, the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, Upper Shoalhaven Landcare Council, South East Local Land Services, and in private consultancy. Her roles have encompassed spatial prioritisation and mapping of biodiversity and climate change vulnerability in NSW, and implementation of national and state planning legislation.
At the catchment level, she has developed NRM planning for climate change and coordinated community consultation in the development of the South East Local Land Services Catchment Action Plan. She also worked as a Landcare coordinator facilitating workshops, forums and seminars.
She excels in communications and has connections with volunteer groups and government agencies across NSW and the ACT. She has presented at conferences, training sessions and has organised and delivered a range of Landcare events, including ‘Champions of the Catchment’, ‘Women in Farming’ and ‘Landcare for Sport’. Kristy has managed various social media applications and written quarterly newsletters for distribution to over 400 Landcare members.
