Wayne Cook
Wayne is an environmental consultant specialising in soil and land management including Hydrogeological Landscape Mapping. His career has focused on soil surveying and mapping, hydrogeological landscape mapping, landscape processes, land management, salinity processes and salinity management. Wayne has been part of a multidisciplinary team developing Hydrogeological Landscape products across NSW for over 10 years.

Experience
Wayne has 13 years of experience working as a Technical Officer, Soil Surveyor, and Land and Soil Scientist for the NSW Government. He is also experienced as a contract GIS specialist using ESRI ArcGIS software. He provides environmental consulting services specialising in soil science, salinity and landscape management services to government and private sector clients.
Wayne is the lead author of Soil Landscapes of the ACT. He has published academic papers on the Hydrogeological Landscapes framework and on salinity management. He has also prepared a wide range of technical reports on salinity hazards and the application of the hydrogeological landscapes framework in NSW and Tasmania.
Selected projects
Wayne recently produced a Hydrogeological Landscape map and management guide for the Burra Catchment, NSW.
