Janelle is highly experienced in community engagement, event coordination, facilitation and training for landholders and volunteers. She has worked in local government and non-government organisations in the ACT, Tas and WA in promoting best practice environmental management and sustainable agriculture. This has included roles in Landcare support, development assessment, planning, environmental health, vegetation mapping and assessment, and environmental education. Janelle’s skills and experience also encompass ecotourism, environmental interpretation, and professional cooking.

Janelle is Manager of Communications and Engagement at Molonglo Catchment Group. Her main role is in coordinating with other NRM organisations in the ACT region, managing communications with MCG members and stakeholders, and representing the interests of MCG members in consultative fora. She has previously worked in the ACT Government as Community Education Officer for ACT Parks and Conservation Service and as the Regional Landcare Facilitator. In NRM South (Tasmania), she was the Community Support Officer as well as the coordinator for Southern Coastcare Association of Tasmania. Janelle has also worked in ecotourism and environmental interpretation as a guide and operations manager in Tasmania (Maria Island Walk, Bay of Fires) and in Queensland (Jungle Adventures).
